Ahead of one of the biggest evenings in music, the 2024 Grammys nominations have finally been revealed. Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, SZA, and Victoria Monét are among the artists hoping to win a trophy in 2024.
Major details:
The exciting lineup of performers nominated for awards during the presentation, which will take place on Sunday, February 4, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, did not disappoint. The 2024 Grammy nominees were revealed on November 10. And who was the pack leader?
Victoria Monét, Serban Ghenea, Phoebe Bridgers, and SZA all received seven nominations apiece, trailing behind SZA’s remarkable nine nominations. With six nominations apiece, Taylor Swift, Jack Antonoff, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Jon Batiste, boygenius, and Brandy Clark also dominated.
The Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording categories are three new ones that will make their debut at the 2024 event, so in addition to the regular categories, the ceremony will have a minor twist.
Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, stated that these historic changes are a part of a bigger set of updates implemented for the yearly event, with the aim of making the process “more fair, transparent and accurate.”
