All about ‘Dune 2’ Premiere in Mexico City
Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet and Florence Pugh, who costarred with her, were also present for ‘Dune 2’ Premiere in Mexico City Attending a photocall for “Dune 2” in Mexico City on Monday, Zendaya carried on her unorthodox fashion trend. Attending Paris couture week late last month, the actress dabbled with a number of avant-garde styles. Zendaya’s interplanetary appearance contains movie winks. The Euphoria star debuted a sophisticated look from Torishéju Dumi, styled by Roach, at a promotional event in Mexico City on Monday to formally launch the Dune: Part Two press tour. Custom-made for Zendaya, the sculpture-like wrapped garment was one of the British designer’s first significant red carpet appearances. In an Instagram post, Dumi expressed her joy, writing, “TO WORK WITH ALL YOU ICONS, JUST SIMPLY WONDERMENT THANK YOU.” The ombré step-and-repeat behind Zendaya, which included layers of cloth in slate blue, gray, navy blue, and scarlet tied together to create a sleeveless dress that exposed her midriff, looked great with the colorful design. The Emmy and Golden Globe winner made sure to flaunt her stylish black Louboutins through the skirt’s high leg cut. A long strip wrapped around her neck and trailed down her back, where a train of piled fabric pieces resembled a cape. It would be a mistake if we ignored the way that the draped fabric reminds us of the scarf that Chani, played by Zendaya, wears around her head in the first Dune movie. The dress also has the distinctive rings of knotted fabric that are a hallmark of Dumi’s creations. These motifs are inspired by the traditional wrap clothes that her family’s native Nigerian and Brazilian cultures wear. We’re sure that none of the team missed the fact that these circles also resemble the mouths of the well-known sandworms from the popular film. When Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Timothée Chalamet, and Austin Butler, the cast of Dune: Part Two, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week in Los Angeles, they all donned quite distinct but equally futuristic looks! Zendaya nearly detracted attention from the 2021 film with her sci-fi-inspired ensembles for the first part of filmmaker Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, from her skintight sandy Balmain gown to her chained bodice top from Andreas Kronthaler. And how could we overlook that space-age Rick Owens dress at the film’s world premiere? There’s no doubting that Dune: Part Two will be released in a very fashionable manner. A pattern from the Torishéju spring 2024 collection served as the inspiration for Zendaya’s personalized attire. Her ensemble featured a crop top and a high-slit maxiskirt, both of which were crafted from a variety of neutral materials with a splash of red. The “Euphoria” actress wore Bulgari earrings and Christian Louboutin pumps as accessories. Since 2020, Zendaya has served as a brand ambassador for Bulgari, participating in advertising campaigns and donning the luxury jewelry brand’s creations on the red carpet. Law Roach, who has previously worked with Anne Hathaway and Megan Thee Stallion, styled Zendaya for the event. Timothée Chalamet and Florence Pugh, who costarred with Zendaya on “Dune,” were also present. Chalamet chose an all-black ensemble of slender pants and a sleeveless satin shirt. Pugh, styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, donned a two-piece mirrored outfit by Galvan London. The baby bangs that Zendaya showed during fashion week were conspicuously gone. She wore them at Schiaparelli and then debuted the new hairdo at Fendi. Zendaya wore a ribbed cold shoulder gown that complemented her blunt fringe’s burgundy color. Her makeup, which included an ombre lip in blood red, also gave homage to her Fendi ensemble. Following the example established by fashion houses such as Valentino, Carolina Herrera, and Emilia Wickstead during the fall 2023 runway season, shades of red are still trendy this year. Celebrities including Selena Gomez, Ayo Edebiri, and Florence Pugh chose rosy colors for the Golden Globes earlier this month, proving that the trend is here to stay. Florence […]
